IT Support: Evidence, Triage, and Responsible Recovery
Develop practical support reasoning across tickets, endpoints, access, networks, browsers, mail, software changes, recovery, escalation, and service quality.
Start learningIn this course
This bilingual public theory course follows a support case from a vague report to scoped evidence, an authorized next step, useful verification, and accountable follow-up. Eighteen substantial lessons use fictional lab records, bounded offline examples, realistic errors, and worked exercises to connect technical boundaries with clear communication and data protection.
All people, tickets, devices, messages, policies, and outcomes in examples are synthetic. Offline programs examine only values declared in their source. They do not diagnose the authoring host, query services, collect user records, send mail, connect remotely, scan, administer accounts, change permissions, or perform recovery. Operational actions described in prose require their own authorized environment and owner.
What you will learn
- Create actionable scoped tickets and distinguish facts, hypotheses, impact, and urgency.
- Reason across hardware/startup, OS/process/file, permission, network, browser, and email boundaries.
- Protect work, privacy, identity, and security while routing changes to authorized owners.
- Plan verification, backup/recovery, remote-support scope, and specialist escalation.
- Document maintainable knowledge and interpret service-quality measures honestly.
Your learning path
Three levels
Support foundations and endpoint boundaries
Build useful tickets and reason about evidence, hardware/startup, OS/files, permissions, and network context.
- Support scope, triage, and useful tickets
- Evidence, hypotheses, and controlled troubleshooting
- Hardware context, startup stages, and peripherals
- Operating systems, processes, files, and storage
- Accounts, authentication, and permissions
- Network, DNS, and endpoint context
Applications, recovery, security, and remote support
Connect browser/mail/software behavior with data recovery, trusted identity handling, and bounded support actions.
- Browser profiles, sessions, and web applications
- Email delivery and calendar evidence
- Applications, approved updates, and compatibility
- Backups, restore evidence, and data ownership
- Endpoint security and identity incident boundaries
- Remote support, consent, and bounded actions
Complex diagnosis and service accountability
Use performance/dependency evidence, controlled change, useful escalation, maintained knowledge, and meaningful quality measures.
- Performance, capacity, and bounded evidence
- Endpoint dependencies and correlated symptoms
- Controlled changes and recovery planning
- Incidents, recurring problems, and useful escalation
- Documentation and maintainable support knowledge
- Service quality and accountable professional practice
Who this is for
- People learning help-desk and endpoint-support reasoning.
- Technicians and service owners who need clear evidence, handoffs, and recovery boundaries.
Before you start
- Basic familiarity with computer tasks, files, accounts, and common applications.
- Small structured examples are explained in plain language; no administrator role, service account, or real support records are required.
